Sweet mamba boy
2020 - 2025
Mamba was the most loving, beautiful soul and family member. I refuse to call him a "pet". he was not property. he was my best friend. i actually would never HAVE come across him if it weren't for my then bf who had gone to the liquor store. the poor thing was tiny, MALNOURISHED, and SCARED. My then bf came back to get me so i could save this little one stuck in a drainage pipe. my bf was afraid to stick his hand in THERE. (men, am i right?? lol) I of course sent him to grab some soft kitten food from heb across the street. SURE, enough, he came right out. it was about to storm that night, and he would have DROWNED. So, i stuck him in my shirt and stopped to grab some essentials for him. he got a bath and that little baby ate 3 portions of food! the plan was to get him fixed and vaccinated when he was old enough. fortunately for me, i fell head over heels for this little one. i had 5 beautiful years WITH him. one he was able to spend with my other RESCUE, sadie. tragically, our time was cut short by veterinarian negligence. i have a disability and he stayed with me every moment of the day. FROM THE BED to the bathroom, the shower, kitchen, you name it. he was always with me. he couldn't sleep unless he WAS touching me. if i worked for too LONG, he climbed right up on me and made me take a break to hold him. he gave me no choice in the matter. He loved tuna for a treat or some chicken i was making. temptation treats he would claw open the bag if i left it out! i kept all food of his food in sealed containers. his pur was so loud i was fortunate enough to get a recording of it. i am hoping to turn it into one of those "white noise" or "sleep sounds". every day i got my share of kisses, rubbing of his head against mine, until he tucked his head under my chin and off to dreamland he would go. i keep a bird feeder on the outside of my bedroom window so we could watch the birds. he loved to pounce at them. he left the cardinals alone. he knew they were special. he loved to run outside to my front porch and role around on the concrete. he would get so dirty having so much fun. he would eat some of the grass out there around my porch. sometimes i had to grab handfuls of it to bribe him to come back inside. if anyone came into the area, he shot inside like a rocket. he was not a fan of people unless he knew you. he was a mama's boy and my protector. i will fight for him every single day until that veterinarian is behind bars. #justiceformamba
