Sampson Sandlin

2006 - 2019

Sampson died peacefully, alongside his father of nearly 14 years, Wednesday, November 12th, under the care of Westend Animal Clinics staff. Sampson was adopted by his father, Daniel Sandlin, in November 2006, and quickly became a member of the family. Sampson arrived in our home fully of energy and handing out kisses. Being able to destroy any crate, gate, door handle or trim and molding in his way, Sampson quickly began building loving relationships with all those who came in contact with him. A lover of couches and food, Sampson had many hobbies. Some of Sampson favorite activities included eating, playing fetch, swimming, cuddling alongside you, and sleeping. In his spare time, Sampson dreamt violently, thrashing his legs, presumably chasing dastardly felines or squirrels who dared enter his dreams. The quickest way to Sampson’s heart was with a quality scratch behind his ear, and a rub of his belly. Sampson will be greatly missed by many, but none more so than his father. Through thick and thin, he loved him with all his heart, and though the pain he feels without him is great, it in no way would compare to having never had him in his life. Besides his father, Sampson leaves behind a mother; Jettie Sandlin, brother; Silas Sandlin, and sister; Bella Sandlin; predeceased by his best friend, Bear. At the wishes of Sampson’s family, give your dog an extra hug, belly rub, and treat.
