My Dear Ricky,

There isn't moment that goes by that I don't miss you being at my side. You were the best friend and I thank you for your unconditional love all these years. I wake up in the middle of the night looking for you at my feet, looking for you under the kitchen table begging for scraps or jumping for joy to go on a walk. Life is not the same without you. In those final moments I hope you could feel and hear how much I loved you as I held you in my arms while you gently went to sleep.
