Piggy

2012 - 2025

Today around 1:30 PM, our sweet angel Piggy closed her eyes forever. Just shy of 13 years, she was my first baby, my faithful companion, and my truest friend. Together we crossed continents creating memories I’ll treasure forever.
Moja babushka, moja pigalina, moja pigili, moja buhtla, moja hrvatica… the house already feels so empty without you. You were the best dog I could’ve ever asked for, and I feel privileged to have walked through life with you by my side.
You overcame so many illnesses and surgeries, but today, someone above decided it was time to rest. I know one day the gates of heaven will open for me too, and you’ll be waiting on a beach, barking, urging me to come swim with you. We’ll sit together on a blanket, stare into each other’s eyes, and this time, we’ll never have to look away.
Until then, eat all the ice cream you want—but save a little for me.
