Ollie “Bear”

2014 - 2025

On Friday, March 21, 2025, our beloved Ollie peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. It was a beautiful sunny day, and he was in "his" yard, surrounded by those who cherished him. Ollie was a loyal protector and loved his family unconditionally. Despite his size, he would always find a way to snuggle on his human mom’s lap. His kisses were the sweetest, and he would wrap his paws around your arms and hands, ensuring you stayed by his side until his need for affection was fulfilled. Ollie adored his toys, especially his deflated basketball, which he carried around the yard. Rain or shine, his favorite activity was splashing in the pool and getting his paws muddy, only to be told by mom to clean himself up in the pool again.
Ollie was preceded in death by his sister Minnie and his lap buddy "Unc" Mike. He is survived by his loving human parents, Neil and Dayna Henningsen, sisters Ashlynn, Bethany, and Madison Henningsen, his niece Opal, and grandparents Gunnar and Bernice Henningsen. He also leaves behind several devoted caregivers who were entrusted with his care in our absence: Justin, Megan, and Charlotte Finger; Lindsay, Ethan, and Emma Kappes; Tyler Kutach;
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our family and friends who have sent messages of condolences. In honor of Ollie, we share this message: A life without a pet is a life not fully lived. He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
