My Dearest Lex,

I can still imagine cradling your beautiful face in my hands and scratching your ears. It was your favorite. You would begin to rest your head in my hands and fall away as if you could stay there forever. And I wish you did. The loss of your presence in my world has had the greatest burden in all of my years. When you feel such a loss it shows how much someone meant to you, and you meant the world to me and everyone that you came across.

I miss you every day and will continue to do so as time goes on. I will miss how you would lean against me as I pet you, how you would rub your face in the snow as to become a real live €œSnow Dog €
