Buddie
2011 - 2026
My family did not want dogs at first not because we are irresponsible and uncaring people but because we knew the costs of taking care of pets. It was in 2016 when fate humored us when we saw a dark figure laying on the shoulder lane of 1-610, we immediately stopped and thought it was a dead dog because it was not moving. We picked it up and carried it to our vehicle. WE took him to the vet clinic and he was diagnosed with heartworm infection and ear infection. He had no microchip and collar. We decided to adopt him and named him Buddie. Buddie was a very gentle dog. he loved the snow and cold weather and our backyard. He was an inside dog, we never put a leash on him unless we took him somewhere with us, we tried a collar but he chewed it up so we stopped buying them. We just let him roam around the house and backyard. He would sleep at the foot of my bed guarding me with his then massive figure. All those 10 years with us, he never whined, did not bite anyone, good with my grandson, but he loved to escape like Houdini to check out the neighborhood with us scampering around the neighborhood but he always came back. He just left us last Monday, February 2. We still called out his name whenever it is time for all our fur babies to go out in the backyard. nobody really recovers from grief, we just move on. Buddie was our first fur baby, he was loved, taken cared of and spoiled. Rest in heaven sweet boy. See you in the after life. we will never stop from loving you.
