With heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of our beloved Toby, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, July 6.
Toby's story began as a Hurricane Harvey rescue, and from that moment on, he found not only a home but a family who cherished him beyond words. What began as a rescue became one of life's greatest blessings.
A magnificent Maine Coon with a gentle soul and a heart full of unconditional love, Toby lived a wonderful life surrounded by those who adored him. He was more than a cat—he was a loyal companion, a quiet protector, and a constant source of comfort. Whether he was following us from room to room, asking for affection, or simply resting nearby, Toby made every house feel like home.
He loved attention and never missed an opportunity to be close to those he loved. His calm presence, affectionate nature, and unwavering loyalty brought comfort through both good times and difficult days. He had a way of making everyone feel loved, safe, and never alone.
As a Hurricane Harvey rescue, Toby's life is a reminder that sometimes the ones we rescue end up rescuing us. He filled our home with love, laughter, and companionship, giving us far more than we could have ever given him.
Even during his final days, Toby showed incredible strength and courage. Though his body grew weak, his loving spirit never faded. He taught us the true meaning of unconditional love, patience, and resilience.
While our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for every purr, every cuddle, every comforting moment, and every memory we were blessed to share with him. The paw prints he left on our hearts will remain there forever.
Run free now, sweet Toby. May there always be warm sunshine to nap in, soft grass beneath your paws, butterflies to chase, and endless peace. Thank you for choosing our family and for giving us your unconditional love. You were truly one of a kind.
You will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.
