Retired K9 passes away, will always be part of police family

The Sevierville Police Department lost one of their own today as the department announced the passing of K9 Sita. Police said K9 Sita was 13-years-old, and she “faithfully served the community for seven years.” K9 Sita worked with the police department from 2007 to 2014 before retiring to be taken care of by her longtime partner, Officer Drew Dennis. “Sita will always be a member of the SPD and we thank her for her service and dedication.
