There are no words big enough to explain how much you meant to me, Jade.

You were never “just a dog.” You were my baby, my companion, my comfort, and a piece of my heart. You gave me a kind of love that never asked for anything in return. You were there for the happy days, the hard days, and all the ordinary moments in between.

I wish I could have had more time with you. I wish I could have protected you from everything that hurt you. If love alone could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
